Cheri Carpenter
|
Cherie works with the BodyTalk System’s™ holistic approach to healing based on the principle that the body/mind is a delicately balanced, complex ecosystem that can be restored and maintained at optimum levels.
Cherie’s compassion and understanding of the human condition have developed over a life dedicated to healing and wellness. After RNA graduation in a field supporting allopathic medical principles, she broadened her knowledge by studying aromatherapy, reflexology, massage, Touch for Health, and applied kinesiology. She is also a Reiki Master from both the Usui and Takata lineages. In BodyTalk, Cherie recognizes a simple, safe, and effective integrative and consciousness based health care system that is expanding around the globe.
Since 2002 Cherie has ensured a wide selection of certified international BodyTalk instructors have been available in Ontario for those choosing a BodyTalk career. In her role of Founder of BodyTalk Central, she supports the professional growth of BodyTalk Practitioners and Access Technicians through regular contact, articles and promotions submitted to health publications- and producing regular newsletters on www.bodytalkcentral.com. Cherie has joined the Faculty of IEWS to further the mission of teaching many students the healing virtues of the Body Talk system- widening the scope of Energy Medicine’s leading advances in healthcare.
A BodyTalk practitioner uses neuromuscular bio-feedback/muscle reflex and other scientifically based techniques to release old stress patterns, allowing deep and profound healing to occur naturally. Cherie’s practical approach as an Instructor of Modules 1-2 (the foundation of the BodyTalk System™ for practitioners) is result-oriented. And students of the one day Access Training courses she teaches also appreciate the hands-on learning because they immediately see and feel dramatic results. Students will be pleased that they have embarked on this journey as part of their Energy Medicine program at IEWS. The BodyTalk program certiffies students in 2 ways- firstly, from the Body Talk association and secondly from the Institute accredited program- giving students more options for career possibilities.

Bryan Avery,
MSc., PhD. candidate |
Bryan Avery, (MSc., PhD. candidate) is president and CEO of the Hawaii Institute of Anatomy (HIA) and has been teaching Gross Human Anatomy since 1987. He received his training in Anatomy and Cell Biology while enrolled in the PhD program at a Canadian University.
While completing his undercgraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph, Canada, he worked as a teaching assistant in the Gross Anatomy laboratory for Human Biology and Human Kinetics students.
He continued teaching and studying Gross Anatomy through his Master of Science training with a specialty in Nutritional Science and Human Biology.
While working on his Master's dissertation, Bryan discovered a heretofore unreported ligament in the scapular notch region of the shoulder.
This ligament, which he named the anterior coraco-scapular ligament (ACSL), is sometimes referred to as the "Avery ligament". ACSL is considered to be a possible contributor to Suprascapular Nerve Entrapment Syndrome, a condition observed in 60% of individuals.
Although his Ph.D. research involved cellular communication between sympathetic neurons and Schwann cells, Bryan continued to enjoy teaching Gross Human Anatomy to medical, physical therapy, occupational therapy and nursing students. He was approached by many public and private professional schools and clinics to teach post-graduate courses for massage therapists and physical therapists, and established a great reputation as an exceptional instructor who is forever excited to teach Gross Human Anatomy.
The Institute of Energy Wellness Studies welcomes Bryan Avery (M.Sc., PhD candidate) with great appreciation as a faculty member to our School Program offering students a high quality post-graduate level Gross Human Anatomy course to all of our students in the healthcare profession.

Marianne Zinn-Kuwabara, |
“Marianne holds a wealth of experience in teaching, having had many years in the teaching profession. Her pursuits in transforming consciousness has led her to the EMF-Balancing Technique”.
Marianne has been working with the EMF Balancing Technique® since 2003, and was trained under the personal direction of Peggy Phoenix Dubro, the originator of the work. Presently, Marianne is the only Canadian EMF Balancing Technique® Supervisory Teacher/Teacher of Teachers practicing outside of Quebec and she holds the honour of being named a member of the EEI Worldwide Support Team.
This is what Marianne has to say about the EMF Balancing Technique®:
“I have found no other modality as subtly, yet powerfully life-altering as the EMF Balancing Technique®. It is professionally practiced in more than 50 countries worldwide as a tool for spiritual evolution and personal growth. The EMF Balancing Technique® is also recognized and practiced as a new speciality in the growing field of Energy Psychology.
Over and over again, I watch clients and students experience an expanded awareness of their wholeness and infinite nature as they learn to consciously co-create an enlightened reality. The result is profound. It affects the way they live their everyday lives as they give intent with enhanced wisdom and freedom; use their strengthened inner ability to take responsible action; and then with personal empowerment and peace, begin to create for themselves new realities in their lives. It is beautiful to watch, and it has done the same for me!”

Mitchell J. Rabin, |
Mitchell has a M.A. in Counselling Psychology from Antioch/New England Graduate School, and was in the second graduating class of Tri-State Institute for traditional Chinese acupuncture. He was one of the first non-M.D.’s to be licensed in New York State.
Mitchell has been in private practice in NYC and CT. since the early 1980's, combining Transpersonal Psychology, Therapeutic Theatre and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy with acupuncture and Chinese Energetics. He founded the Center for Creative Well-Being, a holistic healing center in NYC in 1989 utilizing sound healing and a floatation tank. He has been on the staff of numerous retreats with Gary Null, and has been hosting a community TV show called A Better World on the air weekly since 1993. Looking back, we see that Mitchell was a pioneer in the formation of Mind-Body Medicine and Eco-Psychology in the early to mid-1980’s long before most people knew these existed.
Mitchell hosts a radio show every Tuesday at 1 PMl (www.abetterworld.net/tv.htm) interviewing the sung and unsung heroes of our society who are in their fields, working to create a better world—healing, health, education, science, arts, studies in consciousness, spirituality, Energy Medicine and the environment. Mitchell has been teaching, giving workshops, moderating panels, including the Vibrational Healing and Nutrition Panels at the New Life Expos for over 10 years.
Mitchell is one of the original trainers and practitioners of the LIFE System, and the I-Cap Release Meter and has lectured and given workshops in it in NY, L.A., Europe, Sweden and India.
Mitchell brings a naturalness, simplicity, intuition, humor and good-heartedness to the activity and space of healing. His background in metaphysical, Taoist and Buddhist paths, combined with an archetypal-Jungian perspective gives a broad view and understanding of healing and the soul’s path to awakening. These elements are why his clients and students enjoy working and learning with him over decades. His forthcoming book should be completed by Spring 2009.
